Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These terms govern your use of the simplevulnerabilitymanager.com website and of the Simple Vulnerability Manager (SVM) software. By using the site or the software you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use them.
About the site and the software
This site presents Simple Vulnerability Manager (SVM), a free vulnerability management program for Windows created by Ulises2k. The site is informational: it does not sell products, does not require registration and does not host user accounts.
The software is distributed free of charge from its GitHub releases page under the GNU General Public License v2.0. That licence, and not this document, governs the use, copying, modification and redistribution of the software’s source code.
Authorised use only
SVM is a tool for cybersecurity professionals. It is intended exclusively for security assessments on systems you own or for which you hold prior, explicit and documented authorisation from the owner.
Using it to scan, analyse or attack third-party systems without permission is illegal in most jurisdictions. You alone are responsible for how you use the software and for obtaining the necessary authorisations. Neither the author nor this site is responsible for any misuse.
Permitted use of the site
You may browse this site and download the software for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to interfere with the site’s normal operation, gain unauthorised access to its infrastructure, or use it to distribute malicious content.
Intellectual property
The software’s source code is licensed under GPL-2.0 as stated above. The site’s content — texts, logos and images — belongs to its author, except for third-party trademarks (Qualys, Nessus, Nmap, Microsoft Word and others), which belong to their respective owners and are mentioned solely to describe compatibility. Their mention implies no affiliation with or endorsement by those companies.
External links
The site links to third-party services (GitHub, WhatsApp and social networks). We do not control their content or their practices, and we are not responsible for them. Their use is governed by their own terms.
No warranty
The site and the software are provided “as is”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results or uninterrupted availability.
The vulnerability knowledge base is reference material: it may contain errors, be incomplete or become outdated. It is not a substitute for professional judgement, nor does it guarantee that a system is secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the author shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site or the software — including data loss, service interruption, or damage to analysed systems.
Changes
These terms may be updated at any time. The version published on this page is the one in force, and the date at the top indicates the last revision. Continuing to use the site after a change implies acceptance of the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, the author’s place of residence. Any dispute shall be submitted to the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may hold in your country of residence.
