Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
This policy explains what data the simplevulnerabilitymanager.com website processes and why. It covers the website only: the SVM software runs entirely on your computer and sends us no data whatsoever.
Summary
We do not ask you for personal data, there are no accounts and there is no database of visitors. What does exist: automatic language detection based on your IP address, and analytics tools that load only if you accept them. The details are below.
Who is responsible
Ulises2k, author of the project, based in Argentina. Contact: [email protected]
Language detection based on your IP address
To show the site in your language, your browser looks up the country associated with your IP address and, based on it, redirects you to the English, Spanish or Russian version.
- The lookup is normally resolved by Cloudflare, which already routes the site’s traffic and reports the country without involving anyone else.
- If that route is unavailable, your browser queries geojs.io as a fallback. In that case your IP address reaches that service, which uses it only to return the corresponding country.
We store the resulting country (e.g. “AR”) in your browser, never the IP address, and we do not send it to any server of ours. If you prefer to avoid the lookup altogether, add ?nogeo=1 to the address or pick a language manually: once you choose one, the automatic detection stops running.
Data stored in your browser
The site itself uses localStorage — not cookies — for three things:
svm:lang: the language you chose manually, so it is respected on later visits.svm:geo: the detected country and the date, cached for 30 days to avoid repeating the lookup.svm:consent: your decision about the cookies described in the next section.
All three stay on your device and you can delete them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Cookies, analytics and your consent
The site can load three third-party tools:
- Google Analytics (Google): usage statistics. Uses cookies and processes your IP address. Loads only if you accept.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Meta): measurement of visits and advertising campaigns. Uses cookies and may link your visit to your Meta account if you have one. Loads only if you accept.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: aggregate traffic metrics. Uses no cookies and does not track individuals, so it needs no consent and always runs.
On your first visit we ask for your consent. Until you accept, neither Google Analytics nor the Meta Pixel is loaded and no request whatsoever is made to Google’s or Meta’s servers. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and nothing on the site stops working if you reject.
You can change your decision at any time from the Cookies link in the footer. If you accept, Google and Meta act as independent data controllers under their own privacy policies.
Hosting
The site is served through Cloudflare, which as a network intermediary processes technical connection data (IP address, browser, timestamps) to deliver the content and protect the site against attacks.
Contact via WhatsApp
The contact form does not send anything to us: it builds a message and opens it in WhatsApp so that you decide whether to send it. Nothing is stored on this site. Once sent, the conversation is governed by WhatsApp’s (Meta’s) privacy policy. Please do not include sensitive information in it.
External links
Links to GitHub, social networks and the sites of people who gave testimonials take you outside this site, where this policy no longer applies.
International transfers
The providers mentioned (Google, Meta, Cloudflare, geojs.io) operate globally and may process data on servers outside your country, subject to their own safeguards.
Your rights
Since we hold no database of visitors, we have nothing to hand over or delete about you. To exercise rights of access, rectification or erasure over data held by the analytics providers, you must contact them directly. If you have any questions about this site, write to [email protected].
Minors
The site is aimed at cybersecurity professionals and is not directed at children.
